Matt found his calling in English language teaching as a volunteer instructor at an ancient Buddhist monastery in Sri Lanka in 2004. He completed his CELTA in Bangkok, Thailand the following year and went on to teach at language centers, corporate headquarters, elementary and high schools, test prep programs, and as a private tutor for the next 6 years abroad.
In 2011 he came home to earn an EdM in TESOL from Boston University while also teaching English to low-income immigrants in the Boston area and leading online seminars on Reflective Practice for teachers. ‘Teacher learning’ being a primary focus of his graduate work, Matt was thrilled to become a CELTA trainer and carries this enthusiasm with him into each and every course. In his free time Matt enjoys listening to world music, reading mystery novels, and engaging social media.

Marisa Constantinides is the Director of Studies of CELT Athens and is responsible for the design and implementation of all the programmes offered by CELT.
Marisa's main qualifications related to teaching are the RSA Diploma in TEFLA (DTEFLA), a precursor to the Cambridge DELTA Diploma, and an M.A. in Applied Linguistics from the University of Reading in the UK. Her involvement in Teacher Development Programmes started at the Hellenic American Union where she ran workshops for colleagues and State School Teachers, then with Longman Publications running numerous training seminars for them all over Greece.
From 1982 to 1989, she trained teachers for Mrs.Gina Pagoulatou-Vlachou's school. During that period she also collaborated with the PALSO Federation, designing and running the first series of organised courses for language schools owners and their teachers in Greece.
From 1989-1993 she ran CELT with partners, training teachers and teaching adults on general and ESP courses, and as of September 1993, Marisa has been running CELT Athens on her own, mostly training teachers of English and supporting Diploma in Translation candidates.
Marisa Constantinides has written materials for children (Basic Grammar Workbooks 1, 2, & 3 published by English Schoolbook Publications), activity books for Cambridge Exams set texts, and numerous articles on Language, Foreign Language Teaching and Education.

Nancy Flanagan is a 31-year teaching veteran (K-12 Music) who recently retired from Hartland (MI) Consolidated Schools, and is now pursuing a career as an education consultant, working on diverse projects around teacher leadership, education policy, mentoring new teachers and education blogging.
She was Michigan Teacher of the Year in 1993, a Danforth Teacher Leadership Fellow, and a featured teacher in the Annenberg/PBS Learning Classroom series. From 1994-2001, Nancy co-moderated the State Teacher of the Year online community for the U.S. Department of Education.
Nancy became a National Board Certified Teacher in 1998 (Early Adolescence Generalist) and worked for two years as a Teacher in Residence with the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards and as a consultant with the Michigan Education Association.
