AppsEvents are a Google in Education partner and organiser of Google in Education Summits worldwide in partnership with the ‘Google in Education’ team.

We are a global team, with members located in Asia, the US and Europe and we are a mix of practicing educators and Education Technology specialists. All of our team are Google Education Trainers and/or Google Certified Teachers and many are Google Apps Certified Administrators.

We all share a commitment to a vision of cloud computing, and Google technologies in particular, to help schools run more efficiently, to assist individual educators better perform their work, and most importantly to prepare students for today's changing tech landscape.

Jim is the Assistant Superintendent for Learning Support Services in the Boone County Schools, Kentucky, USA. He is a former elementary school principal and music teacher, and frequent Magic Bean Buyer. Jim promotes developing students' 21st century skills through engaging project based learning and innovative teaching & learning. He is often heard telling students, "Go Make Stuff!"

He is pursuing an EdD with interests in parent engagement and effective teacher dispositions. Jim is most happy when he is with his beautiful wife and two children lost in Orte, Italy. He is a 2014 Bammy Award Nominee and a 2014 Kentucky PTA Outstanding Educator. Jim is the Co-host of "Coloring Outside the Lines" on the BAM Radio Network PULSE and a member of the moderator team for #PTchat Wednesday nights at 9 pm EST on Twitter.

Two fun facts about Jim: He walked a tightrope in his HIGH SCHOOL production of "Barnum", and he enjoyed 15 minutes of Andy Warhol fame when he and friend Chad made the video "Snowhemian Rhapsody" Nutty School Closing on YouTube.

Kasey Bell is an instructional technology consultant with a Master’s degree in Educational Technology, and more than ten years in the field of education. Kasey was the lead content developer for the Technology Applications online professional development courses created for all K-12 teachers across the state of Texas.

As a skillful facilitator and authorized Google Education Trainer, she has led a variety of instructional technology trainings for all levels of educators, including presentations at TCEA, Texas Google Summit, iPadpalooza and other conferences across the state. Kasey is also an EdCamp Awesome organizer, and proponent of the unconference--finding alternative ways to deliver professional development and differentiate for teachers.

As a blogger, Kasey uses her blog to create and curate resources for teachers. Kasey is passionate about using technology to increase student learning, and helping teachers facilitate the use of digital tools.
