I'm a year 2 teacher (6-7 year olds) working in Manchester, UK in the largest primary school which has 720 kids. I am interested in the potential for blogging with this age group and have particular interest in widening access to the Internet amongst our children.

Year Two Blog
The Chorlton Park Primary School Year 2 blog. A developing community space for our year group. It is heavily used both at school and at home by our kids for a number of purposes and is engaging children who do not respond in other ways.

Work is displayed and commented on, challenges and homework is set, children peer mark and it links with current topic related websites.

Ramneek Kaur, India, Secondary, Mathematics

A passionate teacher, a web explorer, a learner.

I am a mathematics teacher teaching classes 9 and 10. Students these days are more open to learning through different methods. Through CII Shiksha workshops, I got to know about the e-learning concept. In mathematics it is essential to embrace the visual and geometrical aspects.

I became really inspired by many teachers on Passionate Teachers. I am a member of this social network of educators.

Doug Dickinson, UK, All Sectors, All Subjects

I work with senior management teams, teachers, students, advisors, software producers and publishers passionately about the use of ICT to enhance teaching and learning.

I demonstrate, build, exhort, joke, anecdote and cajole but in the end insist that children have the right to the best and that technology can and should make a significant difference to how they live and how they learn.

Today for them is not a rehearsal it is an entire entity in its own right and we as educators have the power to make it special.
