Kisu Kuroneko

Kisu Kuroneko

Kisu Kuroneko, Ontario, Canada, Primary, Secondary, K-12, English, Mathematics

Grade 7 and 8 Teacher working in Ontario, Canada. We currently use blogs, wikis, and podcasting to teach the Grade 7 and 8 Math and Language Arts (English) curriculum.

We would be interested in 1) networking with other teachers integrating technology into their practice, and 2) having our students blog and correspond with students in other countries either through comments or Skype videoconferencing.

Classroom Blogs, Edublogs and Technology for the K-12 Teacher
More and more teachers are integrating technology in the classroom. After all, the world’s a changin’ and it’s scary how many kids know more about computers than their parents.

At Blog.ClassroomTeacher.ca, we blog for many reasons: 1) to show cutting-edge ways that K-12 teachers integrate technology into the classroom, 2) to network with other teachers who blog, 3) to model for our students that some teachers in-fact do write, and the writing process isn’t something we just do in school, 4) to showcase our work

Come say hello and share your experiences with our professional learning community.

As a teacher who has used media and other communications technologies to engage learners for more than 20 years, I'm looking for opportunities to to engage in meaningful conversations with teachers who see themselves as learners.

The Clever Sheep
The Clever Sheep aims to assist teachers in harnessing evolving e-learning tools, internet sites, and Web 2.0 technologies to engage 21st century student learners. If you're an educator who is ready to learn about established and evolving technologies like blogs, wikis, podcasts and more, this may be the best place to start!

'Teacher 2.0'
The clever sheep isn't likely to follow the flock and is more likely to take risks. This podcast is intended to engage educators in discussion about how various communications technologies can be harnessed to engage learners of all types. The show runs many times each week, usually from 4-7 minutes and is available on iTunes or by RSS subscription.
