Kyle Pearce currently splits his daily schedule between teaching at Tecumseh Vista Academy K-12 School in Tecumseh, Ontario and Intermediate Math Coaching with the Greater Essex County District School Board through the Middle Years Collaborative Inquiry (MYCI) Project.

He currently leads an iPad Educational Technology pilot project funded by the Ontario Ministry of Education‘s Teacher Learning and Leadership Program (TLLP) called Tap Into Teen Minds. His 1:1 iPad Paperless Math Classroom has been a huge success in eliminating paper, reducing costs, and increasing student engagement & achievement in grade 9 mathematics. A project which began with one class set of 30 iPad 2 tablets looks to expand in the near future.

I am currently living in Surabaya, Indonesia. I teach at Sekolah Ciputra, an IB (International Baccalaurate) World School, as a grade 5 teacher in the Primary Years Programme.

I have been a professional IB PYP teacher for the last 5 years. I have taught young learners aged 10-12 years old.

As well as teaching, I’ve been a grade level coordinator. My main job is to lead the implementation of the IB programme in my grade level and work collaboratively with the team to plan the unit of inquiry and other homeroom subjects.
