Semi-retired teacher educator and educational developer, in further education and the university sector, moderately well-educated (degrees in European Studies, Religious Studies, and Education, Ph.D in Education), but totally untrained for anything--including teaching.

Several years teaching humanities in FE, then twenty years' experience teaching social workers in further and higher education before transferring to teacher education. Now returning to work part-time at Oxford Brookes University as an educational developer.

I define technagogy as the processes involved with using technology to enhance instruction. An educator who takes a technagogical approach to instruction believes that technology will never replace a human teacher but that it can greatly enhance an instructor's ability to convey information so others may assimilate new information or increase understanding.
